I had kept this idea secret, because I wanted to share it with someone I trusted. I had felt that there have been many group projects that were not well-managed and I wanted to be careful. Carina is someone I admire and look up to, not because she’s a friend, but because she’s her own person, someone with a unique and strong personal identity. I’m so happy to launch this with her, and we hope that it helps contribute to a purposeful love of Filipino Literature and culture.

A few days ago, I asked for a raise that I rightly deserve. Whatever happens as a result of my boldness, I’m going to stick to my decision and fight for happiness. My game plan is still foggy but I know that I want to be comfortable in my happiness so I will do whatever it takes to get to that. I want to share this fighting spirit by sharing a digital mix with some songs that make me happy. This bunch seemed to fit together. Fun fact: Most of these songs are the opening tracks of the album they’re taken from. I hope you feel that when you listen to this, like how opening tracks are for any album, you’re reeled into your own life and become a fan of yourself.
